Basic Information
The fields on the top of the expense authorization form are blank until the basic information is entered and the form is saved.
Basic about the expense report information is entered on the following tabs:
- Purpose
- Locations
- Default Charges
Other tabs, such as Advances or Overall Attachments, may also display and require information. In Wizard mode, after all the basic information tabs are completed, an Update Authorization button displays.
After the authorization is saved, the fields in the top of the form (header area), populate based on the data entered on the completed tabs.

The header area of the expense authorization is the area above the tabs in Expert mode and above the left navigation and data entry area in Wizard mode. - Details Tab
Use the Details tab of the Background section to enter basic background information for the expense authorization. - Locations Tab
Use the Locations tab to enter the locations where the expenses will be incurred for this expense authorization. - Default Charges Tab
Use the Default Charges tab of the Background section to enter the specific charges to which the expense estimates will default. - Attachments Tab
The Attachments tab displays items that you are required to include with the expense authorization. These could include items such as an airfare quote, hotel room confirmation, or trip authorization form. - Advance Tab (Subtask)
Use this tab to view details about an existing advance or to request an advance.
